For our campaign we wanted to get creatives to represent each department at school. Having these creatives show support will give us more exposure and also make our social media content much more interesting.
Each creative will be posing for a photo, of just their face. On this photo we will be photoshopping our leave a mark logo (text only) and adding the dates of the exhibition, and venue.
This is the e-mail I wrote out and then sent out to all creatives together with Jeanette:
Dear Creative,
I trust this email finds you well. My name is Daniel Caruana Lupi and I am the spokesperson for the Promotions and Marketing team of the MCAST Exhibition of 2016, “Leave a Mark”. We were hoping you would be interested in supporting our exhibition by featuring in our advertisement campaign.
Our exhibition this year revolves around the concept of man kind leaving his mark on earth, as a means of artistic expression and communication. The scribble in our logo is the visual representation of a creative’s inner thinking, and we felt that it truly represents what Leave a Mark stands for.
As a collective, “Leave a Mark’s” mission is to expose each and every student’s passions to an ever expansive audience, and how they have felt in leaving a mark on both a creative and impressionable scale. We wanted to diverge away from the previous approaches to the end of year exhibition, and instead create a theme that fully focuses on the individual styles and works that each student has curated over their years at the institute.
To help us promote ourselves we want to gather some of the biggest creatives in Malta and help us expose our brand and exhibition. Through our campaign we want to also acknowledge your work, as without this creative industry our school would not be here today. This will create awareness within and outside of our institute, places where young creatives can aim at becoming part of your team at one point of their career. The campaign is simple. We would like you to represent yourself by having the text “Leave a Mark” placed over a photo of your face (see photo attached as an example). This will be then made into a poster which will be published both digitally and print. The digital material will be heavily advertised on Social Media, which would include Instagram and Facebook.
If it would interest you to part take in our campaign, I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
We thank you for your time,
Daniel Caruana Lupi
