Bake Sale

Another approach to us making as much money as we can, with something that will definitely not fail us was a bake sale.

We all tried our best to participate and make something. However, more people wanted to bake so we had to draw the line as some point as it would just go to waste. In fact, after the first bake sale we had quite a lot left over, so we held one the following day.

Cupcakes, cookies, cakes and brownies were made by several people in our class. Everything was sold between €1-1.50 and some you could buy as a deal.

We took it in turns to take care of the cake stand and help! We ended up rotating throughout the day to avoid boredom and getting tired from sitting down. We also went around the school to urge people to come gain some weight :')

Car Wash

Fundraising Car wash 1 & 2.

What better way to make money than wash some cars? Sure its cliche and everyone does it but that's because it works. We've just had a lot of rain and everyones car is as dusty as they come so we're going ahead and doing this asap! We've gotten sponsored by Wurth and its time to get things going.

I tried my best to get all my friends to come over and get the cars washed. I even sent out the photo by email to all my colleagues and even made my mother do the same. Sadly enough only few managed to come over as most of them were only able to come at 5!

burger and lemonade and showing the class the website, a few days before launch.

Burger and Lemonade

... was our next fundraiser. We made veggie burgers and normal beef patties. Like this there was a high chance of suiting everyone's needs and wants. We also made refreshing lemonade for whoever wanted which was perfect for quenching your thurst on such a hot day and it helped digest those amazing burgers!

When it came to pricing there was quite a dilemma as I felt they were definitely over pricing everything. I suggested a few prices and thankfully similar ones were chosen! We couldn't afford to put our food and drinks at a high price as we had to compete with the canteen and two of the food trucks outside!

It was definitely a success! :)

Website Review:

Nick also gave us a review of how the website is going to look and how it is going to work. There were a few ammendments to be made here and there but otherwise all was good and I quite liked it myself. I here again chased after my classmates to send me a short 100 word paragraph about themselves and a particular work they want to show off on their section in the website!

Class Discussion

notes taken to correct letter to creatives:

- remove description of facepaint
- thank you for your time
- shorter description of exhibition
- speak a bit more about why an indorsement campaign helps creatives industry what it is today... they should be shown... through our promo we also want to acknowledge your work as without this creative industry our school will not be around today.

what I took note of in class, Pretty much self explanatory

Pie Throw

As part of fundraising, we wanted to add in something innovative and fun. Mamo came up with the idea of having a pie throw competition for students. The people getting thrown the pies at are the teachers. This was insanely successful. It was a bit slow at first but once people started watching, then people started participating. Myself, Lexi and Iro' went round the whole school asking every individual student if they want to take part. Our only set back was that a lot of students didn't know the teachers so they did not see it as fun as we did. If we urged more teachers to take part, then probably more students would have participated.

once this started we kept going round the crowds of students to urge them to take part and help #leaveamark2016

I had to quickly design a 500 likes poster!

Only a few days had passed and likes were coming in super fast! This was great as exposure was clearly on the way.
